My Work Mate "Lil Gary" as we called him LOL
Gary will be very sadly missed by all of us at work, but most of all, me, his work mate and best mate for last 3 and a half years. We worked side by side 8 hours a day, we laughed together, moaned together, took the mickey out of each other day on day, nicknames for each of us, even my lovely wife Jane was in on Gary's little names he had especially for her, which is a bit too rude, to post on here, but she catches the bus every day for work, and he had a special name for her, when she rang up every night, he would shout to her down the phone, My wife and i looked after Gary, best we could prepping food for him and bringing it in for him to munch on, he especially loved the "Ham Hock Rolls", and the "Beef Rolls", albeit as he told us numerous times "No Mustard or Spicy Sauce!" lol. I even after 3 years taught him how to make ME a cuppa tea as it seemed every day 3 or 4 times a day I ended up making it for him, with his 4 Sugars and a splash of Milk, and tea bag brewed to the state of no return. I can only say, he was one of the nicest guys I've had the pleasure of working with, along with our other colleague Simon, who also loved him, and with his banter, the three of us together, all Liverpool supporters, putting the Premier League to rights every Monday, and taking the mickey out of Arsenal and our work mates who supported them, well the jokes on us now as it goes (well done Arsenal through gritted teeth)!!! He taught me a great deal in the time i worked with him, and i taught him a lot as well, and the three of us always said "if us 3 together with over 100 years of Print experience cant sort or fix it, we all might as well give up!". His one liners and quips to all the other staff, all day every day, was legendary as he always made everyone laugh, no one had a bad word to say about him or his work, im going to miss him every day until the day i retire and even then i will never forget the laughs we had and the escapades we got up to, ssshhh cant say too much, lol....to end my story, i can only say "I miss ya Bud" as he would say to me, if it was the other way round, Luv you Gary...xxxx Glenn & Jane and Simon xxxxxx
